When two Soul Mates meet, it’s truly magi­cal. There’s a per­fect fit. You know it. You know it in your gut. There are no words that can desc­ribe it.

Unless you’ve expe­rien­ced this your­self (we hope you have), you wouldn’t unders­tand when we say it feels as if we’ve known each other for a life­time.

In fact, we were told that we are meant to be together like a lico­rice twist. How true.

When we met, we ins­tantly con­nec­ted on so many levels — spi­ri­tually, emo­tio­nally, phy­si­cally and psycho­lo­gi­cally. And more.

If you ever seen us together, you’d gig­gle at how many times we finish each other’s sen­ten­ces. How we seem to eerily think or say the same things at the same time (and we do, my gosh, we do it constantly!).

We share the same values. The same work ethic. The same goals. The same views about spi­ri­tua­lity, huma­nity and family. And above all, we tra­ve­led the same paths.

You wouldn’t believe how many days and nights we spent tal­king, con­ver­sing about everything, until our eyes can’t stay open any lon­ger and we need to go to sleep!

As Soul Mates, it was uncanny to learn that we had led para­llel lives to this point. (If you know the story, you would be as ama­zed as we were!) And now, we con­ti­nue on this path together for the remain­der of this voyage…

And beyond.

So On Sep­tem­ber 17, 2005…

In beau­ti­ful Phoe­nix, Ari­zona, Michel (affec­tio­na­tely called “Mish”) pro­po­sed to his “Rish” (short for his “lico­rice”) live on stage in front of over 180 chee­ring peo­ple. As ner­vous as we were, the fee­ling was exhilarating.

Impos­si­ble to express in words.

But, do you know the result? Did she say “yes?” Well, not really. She didn’t “say” “yes.” But the result was totally unex­pec­ted. It was a sur­prise to us all. Even us!

A lot of peo­ple asked if it was all “sta­ged.” No. Not at all. (Just look at how ner­vous Michel was!) Believe me, it was unex­pec­ted. But since we’re both Soul Mates and know each other so well, we both knew it.

The Date Has Been Set!

So we deci­ded to get married on August 13th, 2006. We chose Orchard View Esta­tes And Con­fe­rence Cen­ter, because it’s not only an ani­mal sanc­tuary (we love ani­mals!) but also because we’re get­ting married in the out­door gazebo, with a beau­ti­ful river trai­ling behind us, rocks and a breath­ta­king forest filling the scenery.

Since we’re vege­ta­rians, we wan­ted ani­mals and water to be part of this inc­re­di­ble day. (Not to men­tion that our buf­fet for the recep­tion will be pri­ma­rily vege­ta­rian. So this loca­tion is per­fect for us. We fell in love with it the first day we went to visit it.

Our wed­ding is a cele­bra­tion of life! A fes­tive moment that sym­bo­li­zes our love through one spe­cial day. Yes, just one sin­gle day that repre­sents a life­time both past and future, and what con­nects us with one and other, as well as the Universe.

This website’s goal is to pro­vide you with a glimpse into the pro­cess as we edge clo­ser and clo­ser to that won­der­ful day. Invi­tees will be able to RSVP online.

Family, friends and the wed­ding party will be able to share ideas and sup­port each other in the forum. But if you’re just a visi­tor loo­king around, wel­come! And thank you for sha­ring this inc­re­di­ble moment with both of us. It means a lot.
