Just a quick update on what’s going on. Syl­vie has just finished her chemo two weeks ago. And we’re sure glad it’s over. (Radia­tion is only star­ting in another cou­ple of weeks, so this is giving us a bit of a break. Thank goodness!)

As one of the side-​​effects of chemo, Syl­vie had to deal with close to six months of what she calls “chemo brain.” In addi­tion to fee­ling slug­gish, tired and some­ti­mes nau­seous, Syl­vie had a very dif­fi­cult time con­cen­tra­ting. And her memory was short at times. This, accor­ding to doc­tors, is common.

Since her last chemo, howe­ver, Sylvie’s back in the swing of things… in full force. In fact, she’s wor­king on our new pro­duct, and it’s a doo­zie. Syl­vie will be pos­ting to her Breast Can­cer Vic­tory blog soon, so keep an eye out for it.

Howe­ver, many of you who were kind enough to send us gifts, inc­lu­ding peo­ple who came to the wed­ding, should expect to receive “thank you notes” very soon.

We’ve had quite a roller-​​coaster ride in the last few weeks, and it’s not just rela­ted to breast can­cer. The wed­ding video has still not arri­ved yet, as well as the photo albums and thank you cards.

(It’s a very long story. You wouldn’t believe what we went through with our ven­dors. I’ll save it for another time. But let me just tell you this: we went through a ton of hoops. And we’re not out of the forest yet.)

Any­way, all this to tell you that we’re still wai­ting for our thank you cards. They’re coming! (Fin­gers cros­sed.) We don’t want to miss the oppor­tu­nity to thank all of you for your kind­ness and thoughts during the most beau­ti­ful event of our lives.

So let me make it public, for now, until things get back on track. Syl­vie and I thank you all from the very bot­tom of our hearts. You mean a lot to us, and we haven’t for­got­ten about you. We thank you for your gift, and your patience.

We should be get­ting the first “draft” of our video’s mas­ter copy this week (finally!) to approve. And we should be get­ting our photo albums as well as “thank you” cards.

We hope to get them all in the mail by mid-​​March. We know it’s inc­re­dibly late. So we sin­ce­rely appre­ciate your unders­tan­ding. We also want to thank Sta­cey from Marry​Me​Pro​duc​tions​.ca who has been the fran­tic “go-​​to gal” dea­ling with the entire kerfuffle.

She’s been great.

I will post as soon as things get back on track. And, oh, by the way. We’re also get­ting ready to go on a cruise during our wed­ding anni­ver­sary — the same crui­se­line, Royal Carib­bean, we took during our honey­moon. So expect more pic­tu­res to be pos­ted soon!
