In Case You’re Wondering…
Just a quick update on what’s going on. Sylvie has just finished her chemo two weeks ago. And we’re sure glad it’s over. (Radiation is only starting in another couple of weeks, so this is giving us a bit of a break. Thank goodness!)
As one of the side-effects of chemo, Sylvie had to deal with close to six months of what she calls “chemo brain.” In addition to feeling sluggish, tired and sometimes nauseous, Sylvie had a very difficult time concentrating. And her memory was short at times. This, according to doctors, is common.
Since her last chemo, however, Sylvie’s back in the swing of things… in full force. In fact, she’s working on our new product, and it’s a doozie. Sylvie will be posting to her Breast Cancer Victory blog soon, so keep an eye out for it.
We’ve had quite a roller-coaster ride in the last few weeks, and it’s not just related to breast cancer. The wedding video has still not arrived yet, as well as the photo albums and thank you cards.
(It’s a very long story. You wouldn’t believe what we went through with our vendors. I’ll save it for another time. But let me just tell you this: we went through a ton of hoops. And we’re not out of the forest yet.)
Anyway, all this to tell you that we’re still waiting for our thank you cards. They’re coming! (Fingers crossed.) We don’t want to miss the opportunity to thank all of you for your kindness and thoughts during the most beautiful event of our lives.
So let me make it public, for now, until things get back on track. Sylvie and I thank you all from the very bottom of our hearts. You mean a lot to us, and we haven’t forgotten about you. We thank you for your gift, and your patience.
We should be getting the first “draft” of our video’s master copy this week (finally!) to approve. And we should be getting our photo albums as well as “thank you” cards.
We hope to get them all in the mail by mid-March. We know it’s incredibly late. So we sincerely appreciate your understanding. We also want to thank Stacey from MarryMeProductions.ca who has been the frantic “go-to gal” dealing with the entire kerfuffle.
She’s been great.
I will post as soon as things get back on track. And, oh, by the way. We’re also getting ready to go on a cruise during our wedding anniversary — the same cruiseline, Royal Caribbean, we took during our honeymoon. So expect more pictures to be posted soon!
We love you all. Again, thank you.

For heavens sake stop worrying about us, and just think about you guys!
Send Sylvie my very best best love (saw you both speak in London last May) and enjoy your love.
I think it’s wonderful that you are both sharing, talking, ad-sensing (why not for heavens sake - it spreads the inbound links to worth charities) and just being real about it all
Love to you both
Nicola
