Since we were both married before, we thought that a “bache­lor” or “bache­lo­rette” party would be a bit odd, although we’re not totally against the idea. So we’re doing something spe­cial.

We deci­ded to com­bine both, at the same time, and have a “pre­wed­ding party.” Call it a “bache­lor­dom” or “bache­lorhood” party. Either way, it’s going to be a lot of fun!

Since most of the guests are arri­ving (many from out of town) on Fri­day, August 10th, and since the rehear­sal is on Satur­day (and we want to be up and ready for Sun­day, which is the “big day,” we deci­ded on making it that Fri­day night. That way, no exhaus­tion (or good­ness for­bid, han­go­vers) on wed­ding day.

So for most peo­ple who come from out of town are invi­ted to stay at a local hotel near the wed­ding loca­tion (it’s in the South End of Ottawa):

The rehear­sal will be on Satur­day after­noon, and we’re going to go out for the “rehear­sal din­ner” with the wed­ding party, pos­sibly get a little “tour” of Ottawa while we’re at it.

The pre-​​wedding party will thus be held on the same wed­ding wee­kend, that is Fri­day Night, August 11, 2006 at 8:00 PM Eastern.

Where?

Actually, it’s right across the street from the hotel, at a famous live blues and jazz bar and res­tau­rant called “Tuscon’s Roadhouse.” It’s one of the “hot spots” in town.

(Michel being in a band him­self, we love live bands and this is the per­fect loca­tion to have a party!) If you’re in town that wee­kend, join us! Here’s the address and details:
